Up for bid is my 1970 Plymouth GTX 1 of 7 factory FM3-Panther Pink cars. This is an original paint and numbers matching project car. Here is your chance to own a car that will stand apart at any mopar show. If you happened to see Harold Sullivan's FM3 GTX at carlisle you know what I mean. This GTX was bought out of a impound yard outside San Antoinio Texas in 1979 for 150.00!!! It apparently made trips into mexico because it still has a Mexican registration sticker from late 70's on the window. In 1981 Revell-Monogram used this car in the development of their 1st Plymouth GTX model and they sent me pictures taken in 1981 along with a letter from Revell talking about the use of this car. Enough of the small talk here are some real details. Galen Govier documented options include the following:
Vehicle Condition:
This is a project car that will need and deserves a full restoration.
Body- Car still has all of its original panther pink paint. It has dents in the drivers fender and door. I have a rust free original paint fender and door that are both very nice that will go with car. Front of hood has minor damage also. Car will need usual rust repair to lower quarters, trunk floor, rear window and an area around trunk weatherstrip area. Engine compartment, floors, rockers, and frame are in nice to excellent cond. Car is missing the go wing, but does still have its 15 inch ralleys
Interior- car will complete interior redone, but will come with seat cores front and rear.
Engine- numbers matching motor and transmission are still with the car. I have spent about 3500.00 on complete professional rebuild of motor. Engine still has the correct exhaust manifolds along with correct rebuilt dated carb. Trans will still need to be rebuilt. Engine can be put back in car for transport.
Car is missing the go wing, door panels and correct radiator, other than that it is mostly complete except for normal items that are replaced in restoration. I do have some parts that will go with car which include, woodgrain steering wheel, NOS air grabber parts, nos wiper motor, nos arm rest pads and bases, grilles, headlight buckets, plus more!!!.
