1970 Plymouth Road Runner

Car owned by Tom & Pat Rose of Minnesota.
One of 97 Moulin Rouge Roadrunners produced. This car is equipped with a 440ci. 4bbl.HP. big block. The engine internals include a Racer Brown 280 cam and the cylinders are bored .060. An A-833 4 speed manual, console-mounted Hurst competition Plus pistol grip shifter sends power to a 8 3/4 " sure-grip rear end with 3:55 gears. Dual Flowmaster series 50 exhaust system. Great tone! The interior is black with high back bucket seats, the aforementioned center console and full factory instrumentation including the working factory Tic-Tock-Tach. As you can see the car has the "Air Grabber" hood option and it is functional. The rolling stock is B.F. Goodrich T/A radials. Front 235/60 R15 and Rear 255/60 R15 with Cragar SS wheels. A factory option reflective gold dust trail and the deck mounted "Go-Wing" round out the exterior eye catching appeal to this Muscle Car dream.
This is Tom's second Moulin Rouge Road Runner. In the Spring of 1970 Tom ordered a new FM3 Road Runner hardtop from Mason Motors in Excelsior, Minnesota. The car was ordered with a 383 4bbl, column-shifted 727 automatic transmission, black bucket seat interior and no vinyl top. He had the dealer add a black vinyl top at delivery because he thought at the time it was a LITTLE too colorful. See below for photos of Tom's original car.
