This Charger is owned by Tom Anderson of Montana. Below is his story on the car.
I bought the Charger 500 in the spring of 1984 in Montana, I am the 3rd owner, it has been a Montana car all of it's time. I restored it back to the original Panther Pink color in 1989. It was painted Tor Red when I bought it. A friend of mine told me it was an original Panther Pink colored car by reading the fender tag which had FM3 on it and you could see old Panther Pink paint when you looked up in the trunk and on the firewall. When I re-painted it back to original Panther Pink I added the black bumble stripe, and black cowl paint also, which in my opinion set the car off even though they were not an option on the Charger 500. It is an numbers matching car, It has the 383 Mag. Hi-P engine with the 727 torqueflite auto column shift trans and 8 3/4 Axle with 3.23 gear ratio. Center seat buddy seat/arm rest, FM3 body and roof paint, locking gas cap, bumper guards front and rear, am-radio, power steering, It came with Rally Wheels from the factory, I have 1970 style Mag wheels on it now, It came with vinyl and cloth high back bucket seats. Rally inst. panel, electric clock, black steering wheel with partial horn ring and 3-speed wipers. I have the original broadcast sheet, original window sticker, and original owners manual. The car is not perfect just a nice driver. That was the way I intended it to be, I drive it to car shows, and on nice day's it does not travel by trailer. I enjoy people when their eyes light up when they see the car and ask about it.
