1970 Dodge Challenger

This car is owned by Chris Many and is currently undergoing restoration.

Owner's description:

I bought this car on e-bay in February of 2013. The e-bay seller, Jim Faust, bought the car from the original owner in 1986. The Jim was 17 at the time and since he was in high school, he didn’t want to be embarrassed by driving around in a pink colored car so he painted it blue (the color you see in the pictures). After getting married in 1987 he let his brother drive it. Unfortunately someone pulled out in front of the car and smashed the front. They took the car to a body shop where the nose was removed and the damage was straightened. It was put in storage and the original nose was left behind. The car sat for 26 years in the spot shown in the pictures. I don’t think it was moved very much since all 4 wheels were frozen.

The car was located in Drums, PA (there seems to be a lot of FM3 cars in PA). I trailered it back home to Highgate, Vermont. I plan to restore the car back to original condition with the following exceptions. I will add: The R/T performance hood with blackout decal, magenta or black side stripes, pop-open gas cap and rally wheels. I also plan to paint an original flat hood and original gas cap Panther Pink. I also will acquire an original set of wheels (I have the original Hub caps). That way I can change the car easily back to its original factory condition except for the side stripe.

I have created a restoration website for it here: http://www.relicrecyclery.com/PantherPink/ChallengerFM3.htm

The restoration will be well documented like my other cars which you can look at here: http://www.relicrecyclery.com/entrance.htm
