You are buying a SUPER RARE Factory FM3 Panther Pink 1970 Dodge Challenger 340.
This is a FACTORY ORIGINAL FM3 CAR and is one of around 350 Dodge Challengers built in this color and only one of a couple of FM3 A66 340 cars know to exist.
I have the ORIGINAL DATA PLATE but a build sheet was not found as this is a Los Angeles built car and they usually did not get these sheets.
This is a VERY NICELY OPTIONED CAR with FM3 Panther Pink Paint, White Bucket Seat Interior, Black Vinyl Top, Floor Shift Console Auto Transmission, A66 340 Package (this includes the 340 engine, rallye suspension with front sway bar, 11" brakes front and rear), Stripe Delete, Power Steering, AM Radio, 3 Speed Wipers with Electric Washers, Dual Exhaust with Chrome Tips, Factory A/C, Dual Chrome Racing Mirrors, A04 Light Group (map light, trunk light, ignition key light, glovebox light) and Dealer Installed Luggage Rack.
This is a VERY NICE RESTORATION PROJECT.
This is a SOLID SOUTHERN CAR and has never been driven in the Northern road salt.
The underbody is SUPER CLEAN and there is ABSOLUTELY NO PITTING on any of the suspension components.
All 4 frame rails, shock mounts, rockers and torsion bar crossmember are PERFECT.
The body is in NICE CONDITION and is only rusted in a few places from sitting (not from road salt). Both fenders are EXCELLENT and have only a little old bodywork holes with no rust issues at all. The original hood has one small dent but will repair fine and even has the small aluminim block off plates still in the scoops. The inner fenders and cowling are all solid with only a little rust under the battery tray. There is a little rust around the rear window and in a couple of places on the top from the vinyl top but the roof is not rusted out and could be patched fine. The drivers door is perfectly solid but the passenger side door is a little rusted at the bottom (a nice 70 passenger door shell is included). The drivers quarter panel is damaged from a branch falling on it and will need replaced, the passenger side has a few small rust areas and should be fine with some patches. The trunk floor and quarter extensions will need replaced. The trunk lid is rusted and will need replaced. The floors have a little surface rust and a few small holes but could be patches and are not rusted out.
The original data plate, cowling number, core support number and dash VIN all match and have never been altered.
The original engine is missing but I have a correct 1970 340 engine and 727 transmission included. The engine is mostly complete and is only missing the carb, exhaust manifolds, air cleaner, throttle linkages, and valve covers.
All brackets, pulleys, A/C compressor, correct 216 fan, motor mounts, perfect original driveshaft, trans mount, correct power steering pump with brackets, 4 14" rallye wheels, and almost all the parts missing in the pictures are included with the sale.
The NUMBERS CORRECT ORIGINAL 2998974 Radiator and Fan Shroud are included and are EXCELLENT.
