This is my 70 GTX. I purchased it in 97 with the money I recieved from the insurance company after totaling my 76 Thunderbird. The original purchase price was $1800. I bought it from a man in Lakeview, Ny. He was selling it cheap because it had a hole rotted in the frame and about 10 patches wleded in already. I put frame rail caps on both front rails and drove it up until 2010. I never looked at the fender tag until 2005 or so when I noticed it was a fm3 car. After that it has only been driven about twice a year. It has a 69 440 in it. The trans that was in the car was a small block a833 trans. I replaced it with a big block a833. The rear end is a 8 3/4 with a clutch style sure grip and 3.91 gear. The car is very rough and needs a restore which I'm hoping will happen soon. It has 4 wheel manual drum brakes. I know little of the cars history other than a man in Hamburg, Ny owned it before the man I bought it from.
